Our goal is to organize New York City mountain bikers and to educate
the New York City Parks Commissioner and elected officials about our
sport so that mountain bikers will be allowed to ride and care for the
thousands of acres of unused and under-funded parks in the five
boroughs.
|
We hope to organize volunteers to help build trails under the
guidance of IMBA so we can access safe, inexpensive, and challenging
multi-use trails. With proper planning and a little dirty work we will
also be stopping erosion which is rampant in most current trail systems
in the city. We will also educate all park users about safe and
environmentally-friendly ways to use and share our great park system.
This must be a city-wide effort as No-Mountain Biking, is a city-wide
policy.

The group currently has a trail building team with permits from NYC
parks ready to go. We are currently organizing a Trail care crew
training session with IMBA's/Subaru trail care crew. If you would like
to get involved join our e-group and register for updates and
information on rides, and advocacy work that needs to be done
